Longcuts Shortcuts - A Post Mortem

On the advice of the 3 good friends I have decided, after just 1 post, to move my blog from friendster to blogger.

As you will find out a few lines down, this was a quite a leap for me as I only have so much clarity of thought in a day. Unfortunately, the friendster blog monster ate 2 of my posts.

I'm reposting my lone surviving friendster entry as a euology to Longcuts/Shortcuts...

Wow. Never knew that trying to lose one's blog-virginity can be so much pressure.

There it was, in scarlet letters -- choose with some consideration as you will no longer be able to change your blog name after you have selected it. So, in a moment of analysis-paralysis, I almost decided NOT to go on.

But I did.

Then, I had to choose a color scheme, a LAyout style, and then font sizes. Heck, I don't even know what TrackBacks are. I began to wonder, maybe I should have just paid for my space so I could add pictures or maybe 3 columns was way to much for a guy like me.

But here's the great thing. After agonizing over these details, I soon figured out that one can still rework the format and schemes on a blog after I clicked okay.

And I guess that's everyone's story. Everyone has something that one has to live with forever, a this or that we can't change, decisions that mark us, for better or worse. But the great thing is not everything is a matter of life or death. Infact most of it turn out to be small stuff. And as an added bonus, there are ways to compensate, to better the course of even the most irreversible decisions we've made.

This is an attempt to chronicle my choices and the way they make short or long of what I hope to have and be in life. Oh this will mostly about the small stuff. Then again one can never tell...

n.b. Now, I regret having named my blog shortcutslongcuts. If I had chosen with more consideration, I would have named it ontheverge. But what the heck.
